Osteopathy is a new branch of medicine, a kind of manual therapy where the physician treats and diagnoses by hand. It is based on fundamental knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics and treats human beings as integral units, where all systems and organs are mutually dependent and function at the same rhythm. Defects of one organ (system) cause defects of other organs (systems); therefore, it is important to find and eliminate the real cause of the disease that can be located far from the affected organ. This is what the specialist – the osteopath – does.
Reasons to use osteopathy in children: effect of birth injury and operations, encephalopathy, minimal brain dysfunction, neurosis, attention and behaviour disorders, retarded psychomotor, speech and intellectual development, neurological problems, headaches, hypertension and hydrocephalus syndrome, some of the ear, nose, throat diseases, incorrect posture (scoliosis, crooked neck), dysfunction of musculoskeletal system, often colds and gastrointestinal disturbances.
Indications for adults: effect of injuries and operations, dysfunction of musculoskeletal system, radiculitis, intercostal neuralgia, joint and spine aches, osteochondrosis, painful period and wrong cycle, headaches, intracranial hypertension, some ear, nose, throat diseases, bronchitis, asthma during remission, diseases of internal organs, depressions, syndrome of chronic tiredness.
Osteopathy is efficient at any age and life stage, from the time of conception till birth and old age.
